A Blissful Heart: Retreat on the Oral Instructions of Mahamudra

  Week 3 | 13 – 19 Jan 2020

        Week 4 | 20 – 26 Jan 2020

The Winter retreats 2020 offers the perfect opportunity to train in the five great preliminary practices and the five stages of the Mahamudra. Based on the Oral Instructions of Mahamudra, which is the essence of Buddha’s Sutra and Tantric teachings, the retreat is conducted with the prayers of the Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra. In the first week of the retreat, we focus on the meditations on tranquil abiding and superior seeing. In the second week of retreat, we emphasize the yogas of the central channel, the drop and wind, through which we finally learn to dissolve the internal winds into the central channel, into the indestructible drop in our heart. In both weeks, we also train in the four great preliminary guides of Refuge, Purification, Mandala Offering and Guru Yoga – which makes our Mahamudra Meditation successful. Sessions are guided. If needed, translation into English is available.
Weeks 3 and 4 begin on the evening of January 13 and 20, respectively, and end with lunch on January 19 and 26, respectively, after the second session. Each session consists of short meditation instructions, chanted prayers (in German) and actual meditation. In the morning silence is practised until lunch.
