Getaway: Meditations for a compassionate and wise life. The Three Principal Aspects of the Path to Enlightenment

  6. – 8. November

Participation on site or online possible!

Lamrim short retreat. Je Tsongkhapa, an emanation of Buddha, gave the instructions of the Three Main Aspects of the Path to Enlightenment as advice from his heart. Based on the commentary in The Mirror of Dharma by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, we practice the meditations contained in this precious and blessed text. Gen Palden will give explanations to this retreat and will guide the meditations.

Time out means: out of the city – time for you! Enjoy a relaxing weekend in the quiet and beautiful castle Sommerswalde, surrounded by nature. After the vegetarian or vegan dinner you will receive a retreat introduction. Simple but deep meditations from the Buddhist tradition will help you to connect with your potential for inner peace. Through meditation we learn to let go of exhausting mental pressure, to relax on a deeper level and to recharge in this way our batteries.

Gen Kelsang Palden is the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Center Austria. He has been a Buddhist monk since 2009 and has been practicing under the loving guidance of his spiritual master, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, since 2004.

Getaway: Vast space. Meditations on the nature of your mind

  11. -13. Dezember

Participation on site or online possible!

Mahamudra short retreat. “Come! Into the open, friend,” Hölderlin already knew. In order to come to a real experience of clarity and detachment, it sometimes takes some distance from everyday life. The Mahamudra gurus of the past like Mahasiddha Saraha encourage us to glide like an eagle through the inner space of meditation. This is exactly what we want to practice this weekend! We will take the time to focus on our meditation exercises and dive deeper into them, while keeping half-day silence.

Time out means: out of the city – time for you! Enjoy a relaxing weekend in the quiet and beautiful castle Sommerswalde, surrounded by nature. After the vegetarian and vegan dinner you will receive a retreat introduction. Simple but effective meditations from the Buddhist tradition help you to connect with your potential for inner peace. Through meditation we learn to let go of exhausting mental pressure, to relax and recharge on a deeper level.
