Enjoy the opportunity to refresh your mind during relaxing weekend retreats in the inspiring environment of Tharpaland KMC.

These weekend retreats introduce simple meditation techniques that help us to develop peace of mind. The sessions include practical advice on how to maintain the experience of inner peace in daily life. Additionally, the relaxed schedule allows plenty of time to explore the beautiful grounds with woodland walks. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you go home feeling relaxed and nourished.

The retreats are held in the meditation room inside the Sommerswalde castle.

A range of comfortable accomodation is available and meals and course fees are included within the cost.

 

Discover Inner clarity and peace | Sep 20 – Sep 22

With Gen Kelsang Ananda

Gen Ananda will teach simple but profound meditations that open a new inner world. The meditation on the clarity of our own mind is the heart of this course. It comes from the Mahamudra tradition, but can be practiced by anyone. It is considered one of the best ways to develop mindfulness and concentration.

Immerse yourself in the silence and clarity of your own mind and experience its natural purity. This allows you to let go of limiting and painful ideas about your own self, and ultimately to become the person we want to be. The retreat is for any meditator, it does not matter the level.

Learn to meditate | Jan 31 – Feb 2

This course offers you the opportunity to learn the basics of meditation and successfully start your own meditation practice. Meditation is the way to find inner peace and relax physically and mentally. Training in meditation has huge benefits: you learn to direct your thoughts in a positive direction and to let go more easily negative thoughts and feelings. It benefits all aspects of your life, such as your health and relationships.

In this course you will learn preparatory and actual meditations. They are buddhist meditations but can easily be practiced by everyone and have a great effect on positively influencing one’s life. The course takes place in the temple area of the Tharpaland Kadampa Meditation Center in a pleasant atmosphere. Previous knowledge is not required. Everyone is welcome!
