Resident Teacher

Gen Kelsang Ananda is the Resident Teacher of Tharpaland Kadampa Meditation Center (Tharpaland KMC) near Berlin. He is a modern Buddhist monk and very experienced teacher of the New Kadampa Tradition and has been engaged in the study and practice of Kadampa Buddhism for 23 years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. He is also Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Berlin and National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition in Germany. 

Gen Ananda has many years of experience in teaching Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra He is known for his good heart, deep practical understanding and accessibility.

Kelsang Trinlay comes from Vietnam and grew up in Germany. He was ordained a Buddhist monk in 1995 and is a longtime student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. He is currently an assistant teacher at the Tharpaland Kadampa Meditation Center, participates in the Special Teacher Training Program (STTP), and teaches the basic and general programs in Oranienburg (tuesdays) and Sommerswald Castle (wednesdays).

Marco Thiele is a long-time Buddhist practitioner and disciple of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. He has been taking part in the teacher training program of the New Kadampa Tradition for many years and teaches the branch in Falkensee (wednesdays).



Kelsang Malaya is a Buddhist nun and has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for many years. Malaya is valued for her refreshingly natural and inspiring way of teaching Buddha’s teachings.
