Guided retreat with International Teacher Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab

Teachings in English with German and Cantonese translation on request.

Following on from the International Summer Festival in Manjushri KMC, England, Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab will lead this retreat based on the commentary to the practices of The Oral Instructions of Mahamudra. This is an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the teachings and to receive guidance from a highly qualified and experienced practitioner. An opportunity to progress along the blissful path to enlightenment with Gen-la Khyenrab in the perfect conditions of silent retreat (silence until lunch time).

Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada and the NKT National Spiritual Director for Canada. A retired General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT-IKBU), he has trained closely with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for over thirty-five years. Gen-la Khyenrab is an internationally renowned teacher and English Buddhist monk who is greatly admired for his powerful teachings as well as his pure example of humility and loving-kindness.

Price includes accommodation, retreat sessions and three meals a day:

Arrival at Tharpaland: Registration opens on Sunday 11 August at 4.30pm and the retreat ends on Friday 16th August with lunch at 1.00pm.

Post-Fall Festival Retreat: The Mirror of Dharma

“Practical meditations from the Kadam Lamrim that are powerful, simple and life-changing, these meditations can be practiced by anyone and give us a solid foundation to find inner peace in our normal, stressful everyday life.” This retreat is perfect for everyone who wants to deepen their practical experience in Buddhist meditation. Meditations are based on Geshe Kelsang’s book The Mirror of the Dharma with Additions.

The prices include the course fees, accomodation and 3 vegetarian meals a day.

The retreat begins on Friday evening at 6 pm with supper. You are welcome to arrive from 16:30 to set up and look around. The retreat ends on the 18th of October after lunch around 2pm.

It is also possible to join the retreat for a shorter time, but must be started from the beginning.
