A Rain of Blessings: Guru Yoga and Mandala Offerings Retreat

25 – 27 October

If we wish Dharma realizations, we must prepare our mind well. In this retreat, we enrich our minds with Buddha’s blessings and positive energy, so it will be easy for us to gain deep meditation experiences and progress on the path to enlightenment. An introduction to the retreat will be given in the first retreat session. All other sessions are unguided.
Please bring: mandala set (or a small plate, rice and a large cloth).

For attendees with a centre card of Tharpaland KMC or KMC Berlin the course fee of 25€ a day is not applied (Saturday / Sunday). 

This retreat takes place mainly on weekends, but can be extended until 1st of November.

Kelsang Trinlay comes from Vietnam and grew up in Germany. He was ordained a Buddhist monk in 1995 and is a longtime student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. He is currently an assistant teacher at the Tharpaland Kadampa Meditation Center, participates in the Special Teacher Training Program (STTP), and teaches the basic and general programs in Oranienburg (tuesdays) and Sommerswald Castle (wednesdays).

Vajrasattva Retreat: Streams of Purifying Nectar

6 – 8 December

Negative actions are the main causes of all problems in this and countless future lives. In particular, they are the main obstacle to gaining spiritual experience. That’s why we have to definitely purify them with purification practice. Buddha taught many forms of purification, but the best is the meditation and recitation of Vajrasattva – the Buddha of Purification. Sessions during the weekend will be guided by Gen Ananda, followed by the opportunity to continue the retreat without guidance.

Gen Kelsang Ananda is the Resident Teacher of Tharpaland Kadampa Meditation Center (Tharpaland KMC) near Berlin. He is a modern Buddhist monk and very experienced teacher of the New Kadampa Tradition and has been engaged in the study and practice of Kadampa Buddhism for 23 years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. He is also Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center Berlin and National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition in Germany.

Gen Ananda has many years of experience in teaching Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra He is known for his good heart, deep practical understanding and accessibility.

 

OM MANI PAEME HUM: Prayers and requests to the Buddha of Compassion

Our compassion is our good heart, and its development is the heart of spiritual training. In this special retreat, we practice a sadhana (or meditation prayers) to get closer to the Buddha of Compassion. It is said that the benefits of practising this sadhana are immeasurable. First and foremost, we practice training in purifying and transforming the six kinds of living beings based on the instructions in The Mirror of Dharma – which is a most blessed guide from the Ganden emanation scripture.
