Tharpaland Kadampa Meditation Centre
Set in an impressive mansion in beautiful parkland with forest walks and a lake, Tharpaland is the perfect place for engaging in meditation and spiritual practice. Less than an hour from the heart of the city of Berlin, Tharpaland feels completely removed from the business of city life and distractions, and is surrounded by an atmosphere of natural beauty, peacefulness and quietude.
Tharpaland offers a full programme of retreats, meditation courses, Buddhist study and regular classes throughout the year. These range from short general programme drop in classes to long and short meditation retreats, German Dharma Celebrations and Festivals. Visitors are welcome to attend our residential courses which cover a wide range of topics from learning to meditate to in depth exploration of Buddhist thought. We also hold public talks and meditations which are guided in German and, or English.
“When the turbulence of distracting thoughts subsides and our mind becomes still, a deep happiness and contentment naturally arises from within”
~ Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the founder of Tharpaland KMC~
