Christmas course: Kindling a light in our hearts. Meditations on the healing power of love and wisdom

with Gen-la Kunsang

24. – 27. Dezember

If possible, the course will take place on site – but in any case (also) online.

It is our wisdom and our good heart that gives us and others peace. Where they are, it becomes light. At this special Christmas course you will learn to (re)light the light of wisdom and love in you and to carry it within you using proven meditations from the Buddhist tradition. And to be prepared for the new year. The emphasis is on the practice of taking and giving.

“A good heart is the actual method to solve our inner problems – problems of ignorance, oppression, sadness and anger – and the actual method to help others in practical ways”. (Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche)

Gen-la Kelsang Kunsang is the national spiritual director of Italy, Austria and Switzerland.

She has been a close student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years. During this time she travelled the world to teach meditation and explaining Buddha’s teachings. She has won the admiration and affection of many students through her loving kindness and her exceptionally pure example of a modern Kadampa practitioner. Her teachings are powerful and clear. She is also the Resident Teacher at Kadampa Meditation Centre Edinburgh.

An alternative Christmas course for all those who want to spend this time of the year a little differently.

Teaching skills

25. – 27. Juni

Venerable Geshe-la says in his Instructions for Teaching, “The source of our daily problems are delusions such as attachment. We should think, ‘I am only one person, but other living beings are countless. My personal suffering is the problem of one person, which is trivial compared to the suffering and problems of countless other beings. Therefore, I must permanently liberate others from their suffering by giving them the highest medicine of Dharma, Buddha’s teachings. Through this kind of thought we should encourage ourselves to become a supreme spiritual teacher like Buddha Vajradhara.'” The course is public, anyone can join. It consists of teaching, meditation and discussion. With Gen Ananda
