Weekend Retreats

Weekend retreats offer you the opportunity to leave the stress of the week behind and relax for a day, a weekend or longer. You learn meditation techniques that help to relax and provide with fresh energy – in order to deal better with the challenges of the week to come. Enjoy this getaway with meditations guided by an experienced meditation teacher.

Longer Retreats

Our meditation retreats are retreats in a group, which extend over a weekend and offer you the opportunity to deepen your meditation experience. “Retreat” means solitude in meditation. The focus is on essential meditations taken from the Buddhist tradition. Tharpaland offers annual spring, summer, autumn and winter retreats.
These in-depth retreats are led by renowned national/international Kadampa Buddhist meditation teachers. They are open to everyone.

In-depth retreats

Our meditation retreats are Buddhist practice retreats in a group that offer you the opportunity to deepen your meditation experience. “Retreat” means withdrawing into meditation. The focus is on essential meditations drawn from the Buddhist tradition.
Tharpaland offers annual retreats on the so-called `four pleliminary practices`. These deeper retreats are led by renowned international Kadampa Buddhist meditation teachers, German Buddhist teachers, or our Resident Teacher Gen Ananda. They are open to everyone.

Longer Retreats

SUMMER RETREAT with Gen Kelsang Ananda

The Bliss of Vajrayogini

  15. – 20. August

– in person or online (recordings available until August 26th) – 

Wonderful opportunity to train in the eleven yogas of Vajrayogini! Gen Kelsang Ananda will give practical instructions and guide meditation sessions so you can bring your Vajrayogini practice to a deeper level, or establish it in the first place. The main body of Vajrayogini practice is training in the clear light of bliss. This spiritual training has eleven parts which are called the “eleven yogas”. You will need the The Blissful Path sadhana for this retreat.
