10 Days Silent Retreat

  April 30 – May 09

Meditation, mindfulness & Mahamudra: Discover the nature of your own mind with Buddhist monk Gen Kelsang Ananda This ten-day silence retreat will help you discover a special experience of inner peace and clarity. The meditations are taken from the Mahamudra tradition which is the heart practice of Kadampa Buddhism. Sessions are partly guided and partly unguided. In each session short prayers are chanted to support the meditation.

During this silent retreat there is plenty of time for relaxation and walks in the wooded surroundings. We recommend to participate in the whole retreat to experience the maximum benefit. However, it is also possible to participate only in the first few days and leave earlier.

The retreat starts with an introduction on Thursday evening. During the first three days (Fri, Sat and Sun) there is silence until noon, and Monday to Friday at noon we practice complete silence. Everyone is welcome. The retreat is suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners.
