guided silent retreat with special guest teacher Gen Kelsang Tonglam
Following on from the International Summer Festival in Manjushri KMC, England, Gen Kelsang Tonglam will lead this retreat based on the profound Lamrim teachings of Buddha from the book by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, “How to Transform Your Life”. This is an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the teachings and to receive guidence from a highly qualified and experienced teacher. An opportunity to progress joyfully along the spiritual path with Gen Tonglam in the perfect conditions of silent retreat.
Gen Kelsang Tonglam is the National Spiritual Director for East Asia of the New Kadampa Tradition and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Taiwan. Gen Tonglam has studied and practised Kadampa Buddhism for over twenty years under the guidance of his Spiritual Guide, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. He is renowned for his ability to present Buddha’s most profound teachings in simple and practical ways, which can be easily intergrated into our modern daily lives.

Arrival at Tharpaland: Registration opens on Sunday 6th August at 4.30pm and the retreat ends on Saturday 12th August with lunch.
